Include a separate wedding response card with your wedding invitation to help you confirm your final guest list and menu as early as possible. Customize your response card to help answer any questions you have, like: number of guests attending the ceremony, number of guests attending the reception, menu options and childcare needs. With clear answers to all your questions, planning for seating, menus and childcare will be streamlined and straightforward. You’ll save yourself a lot of time doing follow-ups and answering emails and phone calls. When you order response cards, you can choose the simple, standard option of accepts with pleasure” or “declines with regret,” or you can get more specific, including menu options or options for childcare. You’ll also want to include a date by which you request a response. Just in case any of your guests have illegible writing, we suggest numbering your guest list and then hand numbering your response cards in an inconspicuous place on the back of the response card. That way, if you ever have a question about who has responded, you can refer to your master list. We provide a small envelope with your response card, so all you have to do is stamp and pre-address the response card envelopes before you seal them within the larger envelopes with your wedding invitations. Simple etiquette dictates that guests send their response card back as soon as they know, or by the date listed on the card.
